TAKING A BIG STRIDE TOWARDS HEALTHY FEET
MOST people don't like their feet, and do everything they can to keep them
covered.
But summer means sandals and a new study commissioned by an Exeter foot care
specialist revealed that more than half of the women (68 per cent) questioned
admitted they were embarrassed about their feet when sandal season arrived –
with five per cent saying they avoided wearing them altogether.
And it is just not a matter of vanity, with 83 per cent of those asked saying
their feet often caused them pain and only about 14 per cent saying they do
anything about it.
Registered Podiatrist and Chiropodist Vanessa Coates, who has just opened her
own clinic on Topsham Road, said the results of the survey were worrying – but
not entirely unexpected
